How to lose weight exercising and monitoring our maximum heart rate.

The relationship between a 30-minute workout and weight loss.
I often get a lot of mails asking whether 30-minute workouts are good for losing weight, and the answer is definitely NO. This type of workout is more targeted at toning your muscles, and not at losing weight.
In order to lose weight we need to do some type of aerobic exercise such as running, swimming, rowing, cycling, during at least 40 minutes, 4 or 5 times a week, at 60/70 % of maximum heart rate.
During the sessions of the well known “30-minute workout”, the time devoted to cardiovascular training is minimum. We have just said that to lose weight we will need to do aerobic exercise uninterruptedly during at least 40 minutes, so you see how these30 minutes of workout offered in the market, are not recommended for those people seeking to lose weight.
We should also bear in mind that there are not magic diets and there are not magic training sessions.
A combination of cardiovascular training, a balanced diet and muscle or strength training help to lose weight. This is because strength training increases basal metabolism, the resting metabolism.
If you are trying to lose weight and you are not a professional sports person, having an isotonic sports drink while you are exercising could be the worst choice, since many of these drinks contain many calories.
If we want to loose weight we should keep better track of our training. I will not talk about microcycles or training plans but to try to solve this more or less in a very simple and practical way " Keeping A Calendar"
